Exercise 3: Wordflow
Statement
This exercise involved creating a text animation for a pharmaceutical company. We were given the audio for a short commercial and had to match the text to it. The main colours of the logo from the company are green and blue and I wanted to incorporate that into the design. I kept the background green, just a few shades darker than the green in the logo, so the logo wouldn’t get lost in the background. I decided to make the text white and a sans serif font because it is easier to read and the man’s voice is very monotone and clear. I played around with the statements of “personal care back into health care” and “caring for you and about you,” because they have the same last word, it was cool to have them transition while keeping the last word on the screen. I also used a little bit of graphics and sound effects to give extra emphasis on some words without having to show them all on the screen. Overall, it was an interesting exercise that I have never really worked with before and I was happy with the outcome.
